Biography
Jennifer Beetem (she/they) was born in California and has lived in Washington, Wisconsin, Virginia, and New York states in the USA, and Aichi and Kanagawa prefectures in Japan. She currently lives in Seattle, Washington on the South Salish Sea. She identifies as disabled, a lifelong learner, and an activist for justice.
Jennifer has worked as a web designer, art conservation intern and technician, curatorial intern, copyright assistant, English language teacher, art history TA, restaurant server, dog walker, and independent tailor. She speaks and reads German, reads French well, has advanced beginner Japanese speaking and reading skills, and is learning Mongolian and Southern Lushootseed.
